Celebrate Responsibly With These Tips For Avoiding A Connecticut Auto Accident

Wednesday, November 25th, 2020 by | Posted In: Uncategorized

The holiday season is upon us and while this year it may look a little different, it is always a good time to think about ways you can keep yourself and your loved ones safe when celebrating.

Likely this holiday season fewer people will be on the road and therefore Connecticut auto accidents may be minimized, but if you have to be on the road you should still take some safety precautions. These measures will help save your life and those of your passengers.

  1. Designate a driver. Any amount of alcohol consumed can impair your abilities behind the wheel. The best way to stay safe is to not get behind the wheel at all if you’ve been drinking.
  2. Wear a seatbelt. Seatbelts save lives. If you wear a seatbelt you will be more likely to survive a dangerous collision.
  3. Drive the speed limit. It can be tempting, especially late at night, to drive above the speed limit, but doing so greatly increases your risk of getting into a fatal auto accident.
  4. Stay home. If you don’t believe you’ll be able to follow these rules of the road, you should stay home and celebrate responsibly. It is the best and most reliable way to keep yourself safe during this and every season.

While you may not be party hopping this holiday season, you will undoubtedly be celebrating in some form or another so make sure you are doing so responsibly.

All of us at McEnery, Price, Messey & Sullivan wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday season.
