Slip & Falls In Connecticut Grocery Stores

Monday, May 11th, 2020 by | Posted In: Slip and Fall

The next time you head to the grocery store you may start to look at the store differently. The grocery store is a place where Connecticut slip and fall accidents are very likely to happen.

While slip and fall injuries certainly happen at other types of stores, there are a variety of ways you can injury yourself in the grocery store. What may look like an innocent aisle may turn out to be a place where you can easily hurt yourself.

In the produce department all it takes is a few small grapes to trickle down off the pile and on to the floor. If you don’t see these pesky little grapes on the ground, you just may be in for an accident.

A trip to the drink aisle could present a messier chance for you to slip and fall. If a spill happens on the floor, you could be in for a fall.

The frozen food section is another area that could cause you problems. While it may seem like everything is packaged neatly and a slip and fall injury is less likely, all it takes is a package of frozen peas to get punctured and could lead to a fall. Additionally, the coolers could leak causing water to pool on the floor, thus increasing the chance for a fall.

No matter how it happens, the grocery store is a place where slip and fall injuries do occur and can cause serious damage. While shopping you should be on the lookout for spills and avoid them at all costs.
