worker's compensation claimIf you’ve been hurt on the job there are certain benefits that you are entitled to such as lost wages and medical expenses, but did you know there are other benefits that you may be entitled to depending on the circumstances of your injury?

In some cases you may be eligible to receive either short-term or long-term disability payments as it relates to your injury.  Also, if you are unable to perform the duties of the job you were injured at, you may be entitled to job retraining services to help put you back to work.

You may also be eligible for a pay differential if, as a result of your injuries, the job you are able to secure pays less money than you were making in your previous job.

For a complete list of benefits you can review this pocket guide released by the Connecticut Worker’s Compensation Commission.

If your injury was work-related, contact a worker’s compensation attorney. They will be able to help you navigate through the insurance company and help with your claim.
